Q: I would like to request a quote. How do I obtain pricing information?

Q: What is the lead time for my project? 

 A: Our lead times vary based on product type and decorative technique: 

  • Glass markerboards: 4 weeks
  • Custom glass: 6-8 weeks 
  • Laminated or Smart Glass: 10-12 weeks

 

Q: I am interested in one of your patterns. Is it available in custom scales and/or colors? 

 A: Skyline specializes in custom glass, and nearly all of our pattern catalog can be customized in palette and scale to suit your design. A small percentage of our patterns must be specified as-is per artist preference. Please discuss customization options with your local sales representative.  

 

Q: I’m looking for a Construction Specifications Institute/CSI 3-Part Specifications. Do you have one?

Q: I am looking for a Revit file of one of your products. Where can I find it? 

 A: You can find RVT drawings for our Glassboard products here.

 

Q: Can holes be cut into the glass panels to accommodate electrical outlets? 

 A: Yes, this is a very common request. We can cut glass to pattern, as well as cut holes and notches to your specifications. Please note, custom fabrications such as polished edgework, holes, notches, etc. are not included in glass price unless specified otherwise.

Q: How do I track a glass shipment to the job site? 

 A: You will receive an email the morning after your shipment is picked up by the carrier. This email will include the following details: 

  1. Order Number 
  2. Customer PO (Purchase Order) Number 
  3. Project Name 
  4. Carrier Name 
  5. Tracking Number and link to monitor your shipment

Q: Where can I learn more about Skyline’s Sustainability certifications? 

 A: Visit the link below to view and download our Health Product Declarations and Intertek Clean Air Gold Certification. Additionally, glass supplied by our main supplier, Vitro, has an Environmental Product Declaration and Cradle-to-Cradle certification.  

 

Q: What is the TVOC range of your products? 

A: Our Clean Air Gold certificate shows that the TVOC range of our glass products is less than 0.5 mg/m³, which applies to our glassboards, digitally printed, back-painted, and laminated glass products.

 

Q: Do your products have a fire rating, like ASTM E84? 

 A: Our products are not fire-rated by standard, but do we have fire-rated glass substrate options available.

Q: Do you have bird-safe exterior glass options?  

 A: Skyline’s Surface One Eco-Etched Exterior Glass is one of the most effective ways of making exterior glass visible to bird populations. Working to protect avian species is a priority here at Skyline!  

 

Q: I’m an interior designer working on an apartment project with a custom mural on glass panels. The original manufacturer is unresponsive. Can you match or replicate the mural if I provide the file? 

 A: It’s very likely, let’s discuss! Reach out to sales@skyline.glass with as many details as possible. Please review our Artwork Requirements before submitting your file. 

 

Q: Can you explain how SDX Smart Film works? Can it be purchased and applied to existing glass? 

 A: SDX Smart Film is a retrofit solution intended to transform existing glass into Smart Glass.  

SDX technology works by applying an electrical current to an embedded layer of liquid crystal particles, making the glass clear when ON and translucent when OFF. The film is controllable with traditional switches, remotes, touch screens, hands-free automation systems, and more. SDX can be combined with custom digital designs. 

 

Q: I am looking for glass film with Skyline patterns. How do I get more information? 

A: Skyline’s designer glass patterns are exclusively available through our partner, Decorative Films, who distributes: 

 

Q: What kind of adhesive is safe to use with back-painted glass? 

 A: We recommend using DOW 995 Silicon Adhesive. You can also refer to our glass installation guide for more details on installation (pages 2-4). 

 

Q: Is your glassboard available in a gloss finish? Is a “frosted” finish also available? 

 A: Yes, our glassboards are available in a wide range of color options and two glass types: the standard 1/4” low-iron tempered safety glass (gloss / reflective finish) and anti-glare 1/4” Silk low-iron tempered safety glass (matte finish).  

 

Q: I am interested in your glassboard accessories. Where can I find more information on them? 

 A: We offer a variety of glassboard accessories. Please download our brochure PDF for more details. 

 

Q: We ordered glassboards with a darker finish and the standard Expo dry erase markers do not show up. What do you recommend for these boards? The customer wants dry erase markers. 

A: We recommend using the 5-Pack Dry-Erase Neon Markers by Expo, which are specifically designed to be more visible on darker surfaces. These markers are available for purchase through us. For more information, please download our brochure PDF. 

 

Q: Do you offer GSA discounting?

Q: How can I pay for my invoice? 

 A: We are pleased to inform you that Skyline is a paperless company. Payments can be made through the following convenient methods: 

  • ACH/electronic transfers (preferred method) 
  • ACH pull, please download the ACH Debit Authorization Agreement for further details 
  • Credit card, a 3% processing fee will apply
