Q: How do I track a glass shipment to the job site?
A: You will receive an email the morning after your shipment is picked up by the carrier. This email will include the following details:
- Order Number
- Customer PO (Purchase Order) Number
- Project Name
- Carrier Name
- Tracking Number and link to monitor your shipment

Q: How can I pay for my invoice?
A: We are pleased to inform you that Skyline is a paperless company. Payments can be made through the following convenient methods:
- ACH/electronic transfers (preferred method)
- ACH pull, please download the ACH Debit Authorization Agreement for further details
- Credit card, a 3% processing fee will apply
Q: Can I customize Skyline patterns and artwork?
A: Skyline specializes in custom glass, and nearly all of our pattern catalog can be customized in palette and scale to suit your design. A small percentage of our patterns must be specified as-is per artist preference. Please discuss customization options with your local sales representative.

Q: Can holes be cut into glass to accommodate electrical outlets?
A: Yes, this is a very common request. We can cut glass to pattern, as well as cut holes and notches to your specifications. Please note, custom fabrications such as polished edgework, holes, notches, etc. are not included in glass price unless specified otherwise.

Q: Do your products have a fire rating, like ASTM E84?
A: Our products are not fire-rated by standard, but do we have fire-rated glass substrate options available.
Please reach out to sales@skyline.glass if you’re interested in decorative fire-rated glass, we’re happy to explore options with you.
Q: What is the TVOC range of your products?
A: Our Clean Air Gold certificate shows that the TVOC range of our glass products is less than 0.5 mg/m³, which applies to our glassboards, digitally printed, back-painted, and laminated glass products.
Q: Is your glassboard available in a gloss finish? Is a “frosted” finish also available?
A: Our glassboards are available in a wide range of color options and two glass types: the standard 1/4” low-iron tempered safety glass (gloss / reflective finish) and anti-glare 1/4” Silk low-iron tempered safety glass (matte finish).

Q: What markers work best on dark color glassboards?
A: We recommend Expo Dry-Erase Neon Markers which can be purchased directly through us.

Q: How does SDX Smart Film work? Can it be applied to existing glass?
A: SDX Smart Film is a retrofit solution intended to transform existing glass into Smart Glass.
SDX technology works by applying an electrical current to an embedded layer of liquid crystal particles, making the glass clear when ON and translucent when OFF. The film is controllable with traditional switches, remotes, touch screens, hands-free automation systems, and more. SDX can be combined with custom digital designs.
Q: I am looking for glass film with Skyline patterns. How do I get more information?
A: Skyline’s designer glass patterns are exclusively available through our partner, Decorative Films, who distributes:
- Film Studio™, a collection of Skyline patterns on PVC-free film in a variety of privacy levels
- The latest release in Film Studio, the Matrix Collection, designed in collaboration with Gensler
- SDX™ Smart Film, our retrofit switchable window film, can be combined with any Film Studio pattern, as well as custom patterns
