Michael Graves (1934-2015) has been in the forefront of architecture and design since he founded his practice in 1964. His two firms, Michael Graves & Associates, which provides architecture and interior design services, and Michael Graves Design Group, which specializes in product design and graphic design, provide clients around the globe with innovative design solutions that are functional, sustainable, sensitive, and beautiful.

In 1982, Graves completed one of his best-known projects, the highly controversial Portland Building. Additional projects include the Denver Public Library, the Humana Building in Louisville, Kentucky, and several buildings for the Walt Disney Company. Graves, a professor at Princeton University for 39 years, was also well known for his product designs for Alessi, Target, and JCPenney.
